Overview of California SB 253 and 261

CA SB 253 is the Climate Corporate Data Accountability Act that requires large Corporations doing business in California to publicly report their Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions annually starting with Scope 1 and 2 in 2026 and Scope 3 in 2027. SB 261 requires large corporations doing business in California to report their climate related financial risks.
