OmnexFuturepast Achieves ANAB Accreditation for Automotive Product Certification

OmnexFuturepast has achieved accreditation from the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) as a product certification body for automotive Functional Safety, Product Cybersecurity, and Safety of the Intended Functionality (SOTIF).

This accreditation is aligned with ISO/IEC 17065 — the international standard for organizations certifying products, processes, and services — and was officially granted on April 2, 2026.

Strengthening Confidence in Automotive Certification

This milestone confirms OmnexFuturepast’s technical competence, impartiality, and consistent operation as an independent third-party certification body.

It reinforces trust across the global automotive and semiconductor supply chain by ensuring that certified products meet rigorous international safety and cybersecurity requirements.

Accredited Automotive Product Certification Scope

Through the OmnexFuturepast Automotive Product Certification Scheme (OFAS), the accreditation enables certification against key automotive standards:

  • ISO 26262 – Functional Safety

  • ISO/SAE 21434 – Automotive Cybersecurity Engineering

  • ISO 21448 – Safety of the Intended Functionality

Certification applies to:

  • Automotive electrical/electronic systems and components

  • Semiconductor and embedded systems

  • Product development and manufacturing processes

Note: These certifications apply to products and processes, not organizational management systems.

Independent, Impartial, and Globally Recognized

ANAB accreditation demonstrates that OmnexFuturepast meets stringent international requirements, including:

  • Independent and impartial certification decisions

  • Qualified and competent technical assessors

  • Strong governance and conflict-of-interest controls

  • Consistent, auditable certification processes

This enables OmnexFuturepast to issue accredited product certificates that provide regulators, OEMs, Tier 1 suppliers, and technology providers with greater confidence in safety and cybersecurity claims.

Supporting the Future of Safe and Secure Mobility

As automotive systems become increasingly software-driven, connected, and complex, the need for trusted and accredited product certification continues to grow.

ANAB accreditation reinforces OmnexFuturepast’s commitment to delivering credible, impartial, and technically robust certification services for next-generation automotive technologies.
